On Saturday, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mané scored both goals as Liverpool won 2-0 at home against Burnley.
Burnley visited Anfield on an emotional day for the Reds, as not only was it their first home game in 18 months, but Andrew Devine became the 97th fatality of the Hillsborough tragedy. So a minute of applause was given before the game.

Jürgen Klopp’s side kept up the pressure, and Mohamed Salah almost increased the advantage when his effort was disallowed for offside. Despite losing their game plan, Sean Dyche’s players didn’t give up and created difficulties – Dwight McNeil and Tarkowski came close to equalising.
The second half started like an attack against defence drill as Liverpool sought to end the game. McNeil cleared Salah’s attempt before Nick Pope denied Mané twice. The Senegal international, though, pounced on Trent Alexander-ball Arnold’s to score his first goal of the season.
Klopp will be pleased with his team’s early-season record, with two victories and two clean sheets. Burnley are still without a point this season and have now lost five straight Premier League games.
